About

BIO

I’m an anthropologist (the study of man–comes in handy when writing fiction) who moonlights as a writer. It’s been an uphill battle, and one I’m still fighting, being a flawed human and all, but I’m coming to discover myself as an author.

I find most of my inspiration from movies, so you could say my writing style falls between film noir/screwball comedy/Frank Capra sentimentalism; rather a crazed mix, yes?

Ultimately, I think I can be rather unpredictable in my tastes, and this characterizes my writing. Historicals are my first love, since I love history, but I’ve come to appreciate the stories that can be told in contemporary society as well. Above all, character is important, which is why I read across genres and count authors who write characters I care about as favorites.

A Bit of Inspiration:
Edith Wharton
Ayn Rand
Judith Ivory
Marjorie M Liu
Rosalind Laker
Victoria Holt
Betina Krahn
Jane Feather
Henry James
E. Phillips Oppenheim
